Care offered

I provide comprehensive support and guidance during your pregnancy, birth and up to one month after your baby is born tailored to your individual needs.

During our regular meetings I will ensure that all is well with you and your baby. These appointments will last for up to an hour so there will be plenty of time to answer questions and discuss any worries you may have. These visits will be at a time convenient to you and your family, which may be in the evening or at the weekend, either in your own home or at another location if you prefer - you choose.

You will have as much time as you need to talk, so that you can have the best antenatal and postnatal care. I will give you and your partner all the help, information, advice and support you need to make sure you have the kind of birth experience you want. You will be able to meet with a ‘back-up’ midwife who may be involved in your care.

I promise to provide high quality care throughout your pregnancy. Together we will build up a trusting relationship, planning and preparing your birth experience. All antenatal and postnatal visits up to 25 visits are included, with your personal midwife available to you 24 hours a day including weekends. All routine blood tests, ultrasound scans can be arranged. During your pregnancy, you and your partner are invited to explore all aspects of preparing for birth and parenting in one-to-one and group workshops. You will be able to participate in relaxation sessions, pregnancy and labour massage and guidance on baby massage and breastfeeding.

When your labour starts you will have your known midwife with you to support and reassure you and at the time of birth, two midwives will be present as you welcome your baby. Following birth, your midwife will support you for up to one month.

Before we say good-bye, you will be given a complete copy of your maternity notes.

Our fees for the care offered are £3,400 payable during your pregnancy. This is inclusive of travel, equipment and supplies.[If within ½ hour drive – reduced fee will be considered!]
